Video Diary

Gloucester Heritage URC has embarked on a Video Diary project to record the physical changes as they take place, capturing perceptions, thoughts and feelings of local people throughout the process and period of Regeneration in the City of Gloucester.

The Focus

Local schools, youth groups, other learning institutions and community groups can take this opportunity to record the physical changes and improvements to Gloucester’s built environment and public spaces as well as capturing opinions / attitudes and perceptions of local people before, during and on completion of individual regeneration project areas.

The Video Diary project provides opportunities for young people aged 16 -21 (not exclusively), to get involved in the city's redevelopment via film and media and could offer long term projects for students who wish to enter the world of creative arts and media.

Gloucester Heritage URC have commissioned Gloscat and Bluesky Event & Media (in partnership) as Managing Agent to deliver this exciting project, the result being the creation of a series of locally created DVD films that:

  • Captures before & after perceptions of the City of Gloucester
  • Captures before & after, built environment
  • Records the changing face of Gloucester through the eyes of young people, residents and local businesses
  • Focuses on the Area Regeneration
  • Acts as a record of achievement is innovative & makes use of new Learning Skills & Education
