    Gloucester’s Merchants Quay building to be demolished
    Developer Crest Nicholson has announced that it is planning the imminent demolition of the 1980s Merchants Quay building at Gloucester Docks in order to begin the development of a new building which will provide more homes and increased retail opportunities on the site.

    Dig Flags Up Stone Floor
    Archaeologists have uncovered a previously unseen stone flagged floor, which is probably 700-800 years’ old, close to Blackfriars Priory. The archaeological dig, organised by the Gloucester Heritage Urban Regeneration Company, is being carried out to establish how much, if any, of the medieval Priory buildings remain below existing ground level on the site.
