National Housebuilder Linden Homes are now finalising the scheme designs for the redevelopment of the former Gloscol sites at Greyfriars, with a view to submitting a planning application by the end of the year.

Proposals for the Greyfriars site, will create a new residential neighbourhood of approximately 269 new family homes and apartments in a mix of styles and sizes, set alongside cafés, restaurants and community facilities. New public squares and open spaces set around the ruins of Greyfriars Priory and other nearby historic buildings will provide shoppers, tourists and residents alike with restful havens in the centre of the city.

  • It sounds promising, but please be sure to keep all the historic features restored and don't ruin the atmosphere by urbanising the area too much. We've already lost so many historic features..! Olivia on 31/01/2011 17:31:36
