Gloucester Heritage Board sets up Railway Triangle Steering Group
A steering group of GHURC's Board members to look again at the issues and opportunities around residential, commercial and transport development on the Railway Triangle, the 35 hectare (approximately 86 acres) site adjacent to Metz Way, one of the main gateways into Gloucester, off Eastern Avenue.

The Magnificent Seven get community support
Gloucester Heritage Urban Regeneration Company (GHURC ) has announced the appointment of new local ambassadors to help voice their communities’ views and opinions on the city’s regeneration, yet another GHURC initiative to help build stronger lines of communication between the city residents and the regeneration company.

Shortlist announced for landscape architects in King’s Square, Gloucester
Six landscape architect firms have been shortlisted to redesign the public area in King’s Square, Gloucester, the city’s largest and most important public space. The winning consultancy will be announced on 23 June.

City training providers get engaged for new jobs
More than 60 training and employment providers attended an ‘Engagement for Work’ event at City Works in Gloucester to hear how they will be able to help those wanting to take advantage of the new jobs which are now being created thanks to the city’s on-going regeneration.

Fleece to kickstart Gloucester's cultural renaissance
Efforts to create a new cultural quarter in heart of historic Gloucester have taken an important step forward. Investigations into what mix of uses the 500-year old hotel and neighbouring buildings should be put to will begin this month and is expected to take up to six months.

Eco homes for Gloucester’s Railway Triangle
Gloucester’s Railway Triangle, one of the ‘Magnificent Seven’ sites leading the £1 billion regeneration of the City, could become the location for up to 400 ‘eco’ homes, a medical-based science park, conference centre and an urban park, if new plans set out by development company LXB Properties are accepted.

Tall Ships Festival return to Gloucester
On 26-29 October, Gloucester is hosting the first Tall Ships Festival in the Docks in decades.
Tall ships will be sailing up the Gloucester and Sharpness canal on Friday 26 October in a parade of sails which will be followed by a weekend of fun and celebration.

Developer appointed for Gloucester’s exemplar residential scheme

Bristol-based housebuilder, Edward Ware Homes Ltd, has been appointed to develop the Greyfriars site on Brunswick Road, Gloucester, bringing almost four hundred new homes to the city centre and setting new standards for the design and sustainability of city centre residential developments.
